The Horizontal Surface Maintenance (Level 1) course provides foundational skills and knowledge required for maintaining horizontal surfaces in various environments, including commercial and industrial settings. Learners will explore the basic principles of surface preparation, cleaning, and maintenance techniques for floors, pavements, and other horizontal surfaces. The course covers tools and materials used for surface cleaning and maintenance, as well as safety protocols to ensure effective and safe operations. Participants will also gain insights into the importance of maintaining surfaces to prolong their lifespan, enhance safety, and improve the aesthetics of a work environment.

Learners will observe good personal grooming, hygiene standards to display the positive image. They will be able to maintain good interpersonal relationship and having effective communication with customers. Learners will be able to identify the appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques to manage the service challenging situation. Performance gaps like unawareness of customer’s needs and expectations, communicating with customers and managing service challenges will be addressed.
