Course Overview

This course equips cleaners and cleaning professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to clean various types of vertical surfaces, including glass, ceilings, and walls. Learners will understand different surface types, choose suitable cleaning agents and equipment, follow hygiene and safety procedures, perform effective spot cleaning, and reinstate work areas according to industry standards.

What you’ll learn

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Learning Outcome 1: Select and don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in preparation for vertical surface cleaning activities
Learning Outcome 2: Select and load trolley with appropriate tools, equipment, and cleaning agents based on types of vertical and ceiling surfaces to be cleaned
Learning Outcome 3: Deploy appropriate safety signage at designated areas prior to start of cleaning activities
Learning Outcome 4: Perform appropriate cleaning of the assigned vertical surfaces in accordance with set procedures, guidelines and regulations
Learning Outcome 5: Replenish cleaning supplies used in cleaning and report any areas that could not be cleaned at the point in time to the supervisor

Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.

For Classes commencing on or after 1st Jan 2024:

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 21 years and above will be eligible for a 50% subsidy
Singapore Citizens who are 40 years old or older will benefit from a 70% subsidy.
Non-Small and Medium Enterprises (non-SMEs) will receive a 50% subsidy for Singapore Citizens under 40 years old, and a 70% subsidy for those aged 40 and above.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be eligible for a 70% subsidy for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.
